How the layout works
The Column adds a narrow accent strip at the left edge. When education and skills sections are adjacent, they can sit alongside each other; experience remains full width. It is not a full-height sidebar for every section.
Make it yours
Adjust the column-width control to give the longer paired section more room. Reordering education and skills changes whether they can be paired. Header and typography controls remain available.
What to review
Check both columns for long institution names and skill lists. Copy text from the exported file to inspect reading order. If an employer requests a straightforward single-column file, try The Classic or The Essential.
Preview and export
Switching designs preserves your resume content. Choose Letter or A4, review the page count, and check any layout warnings. PDF follows the preview’s layout rules. Word remains editable, but pagination can differ between word processors. Plain text and Markdown exports are also available with export access.
